JourneyPure Knoxville is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support clinical and medical operations in a fast-paced behavioral health setting. The role emphasizes patient care, medical support, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position involves assisting with intake, vitals, and documentation, supporting physicians and nursing staff, maintaining exam rooms and equipment, and ensuring accurate EMR records. Experience in healthcare or behavioral health is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or clinical setting preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and medical terminology.
• Strong organizational and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client intake, vitals, and medical history documentation.
• Support physicians and nursing staff with clinical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain exam rooms and medical equipment.
• Administer medications as directed and within scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
• Coordinate lab work and specimen collection as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Provide excellent patient care and support throughout treatment.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of medical appointments.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
