Job summary

Family Health Care Centers of Greater Los Angeles (FHCCGLA) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Back Office and ensure high-quality patient care. You will assist clinicians, prepare rooms, perform routine procedures, document in NextGen, and help coordinate patient flow and scheduling in a busy urban clinic.

Ideal candidates have a certificate, CPR certification, bilingual English/Spanish, and a commitment to compassionate service for underserved communities.

Qualifications

• Certificate required for Medical Assistant role.
• Current CPR certification required.
• FQHC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and clinicians with care delivery.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures.
• Document vital signs and patient data in EHR.
• Coordinate patient flow and scheduling to reduce bottlenecks.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant handling of patient records.
• Support in coordinating lab tests and referrals.
