Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers seeks a dedicated Medication Technician to assist residents with daily living and to administer medications under physician orders. You will record administration, maintain confidentiality, and support nutrition and activities per care plans.

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, stand and move for 8 hours, and communicate effectively in English. CPR/First Aid is preferred; LNA is a plus. Training and licensure reimbursements apply as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• CertifiedMedication Technician on state registry within 120 days of employment.
• Ability to frequently lift and transfer up to 30 pounds during shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn for an 8-hour shift.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to perform sequential tasks.
• Effective English communication to carry out care plans.
• CPR certification and First Aid preferred.
• LNA in state where care is provided is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living while encouraging independence.
• Administer and record medications as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and care plans.
• Support resident nutrition during meals and snacks.
• Observe, record, and report changes in resident condition to the Head Nurse.
• Participate in planning and promoting daily living activities.
• Perform lifts/transfers and document care as per service plan.
• Carry out additional duties as directed by supervisor.
