Job summary

Seagrass Village of Fleming Island in Alaska is hiring Med Techs for full-time shifts (7:00am–7:00pm and 7:00pm–7:00am). You will supervise self-administration of medications and assist with ADLs, meals, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging resident independence.

Responsibilities include observing health changes, dining room assistance, safety, and HIPAA compliance. Training of new staff and fostering a dignified, caring atmosphere for residents and families are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years related experience or equivalent
• Med-Tech certification preferred or required depending on state policy
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and HIPAA regulations

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administration of medications for residents.
• Assist with ADLs, meals, light housekeeping and laundry while promoting resident independence.
• Engage with residents with empathy and respect at all times.
• Observe and report health and emotional well-being changes to supervisor.
• Assist in dining room service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment and follow safety protocols.
• Support activities and provide a dignified, caring atmosphere for residents and families.
