Job summary

The Palmettos of Garden City is looking for a Med Tech to join our team! The Med Tech provides direct and indirect patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Assists residents with activities of daily living, personal care, comfort, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for an assigned group of residents. The Palmettos of Garden City is proud to be a part of the NHC family.

Qualifications

• Sensitive to patients' physical and psychosocial needs.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Capable of charting in the Patient Care Record or similar form.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per physician orders.
• Provide morning and evening care (hygiene, dressing, linen, etc.).
• Assist in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Support in preparing for patient admissions and post-mortem care.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and observe universal precautions.
