Job summary

Celebration Village Acworth is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our on-site care team. This full-time role covers all shifts at our Acworth, GA community and offers competitive benefits.

As a Med Tech, you will administer medications per physician orders, monitor residents, support wellness staff, document care, and participate in on-call scheduling to ensure seamless coverage and safety for our residents.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification as required by state regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Administer or assist with administration and supervision of medications per physician orders.
• Document medications on MAR accurately and timely.
• Conduct shift handoffs and report changes in residents' condition to supervisor.
• Maintain security of medication cart and perform narcotics counts.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Work collaboratively with wellness staff and other team members.
• Maintain professional demeanor when interacting with residents and families.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and notify charge nurse or Wellness Director.
• Follow CDC, OSHA and safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness of residents' rooms and report safety violations.
• Plan wellness schedule 2–4 weeks in advance and participate in on-call rotation.
