Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent on-the-job training for 3 months.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission by taking vital signs, measurements, and weights, and orients patient/family to unit.
• Delivers patient care per unit standards, documents care, and communicates with RN.
• Assists with procedures (lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, catheterization, dressings) within scope of practice.
• Perform EKGs as needed and monitor intake/output, reporting changes promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living and maintain a clean, safe patient area.
• Participates in unit meetings, training, and performance improvement initiatives.
