Job summary

Assisting Hands - Matteson is seeking a dedicated Male Caregiver to join our team in Matteson, IL. This Monday–Friday role focuses on compassionate in-home care, helping clients with daily living activities and maintaining a safe, supportive home environment.

You will provide personal care, mobility support, meal assistance, light housekeeping, companionship, and health monitoring, while collaborating with the supervision team to adapt to each client’s plan.

Qualifications

• Male caregiver candidates preferred to meet client care needs.
• Prior caregiving, home health aide, or CNA experience is a plus.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work a consistent Monday–Friday schedule.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and hygiene support.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to client care plans.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families.
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors.
• Assist with medication reminders and follow established care routines.
