Job summary

Mercy Health in Lima, OH is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver patient care under physician supervision. The LPN will prepare patients for visits, observe and report responses, and collaborate with the care team to ensure accurate, compassionate service.

Requirements include an active LPN license or applicant status, BLS, and 1 year of clinical experience preferred. Shift is Days/Afternoons with competitive benefits and support for professional development.

Qualifications

• Active state LPN licensure or LPN applicant
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• One year of clinical patient care experience preferred but not required
• Ability to care for patients of all ages with compassion and skill
• Ability to learn and use a computer-based scheduling/registration system
• Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians and care team to meet patient needs
• Provides direct basic nursing care within LPN scope
• Prepares and labels specimens as trained
• Assists with clerical/administrative duties as needed
• Acts as chaperone during patient examinations when requested
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments
• Performs other duties as assigned
