Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our inpatient team. The LPN provides nursing care for assigned patients under supervision of the Nurse Director or designee, and participates in care planning and documentation, aiming for rapid, safe patient progression through hospitalization.

We require graduation from an accredited nursing program with MA license and BLS; one year of medical-surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active MA nursing license (BORN) or equivalent with BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for assigned patients under supervision.
• Use Nursing process to assess and plan care.
• Document accurately and communicate with staff, physicians and management.
• Coordinate patient care and contribute to patient flow and safety.
• Assist in teaching, delegation and clinical practice improvements.
