Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation and training from an accredited school of nursing with current license by the Massachusetts B.O.R.N. or equivalent B.L.S. certification.
• AHA or equivalent BLS certification required upon hire or during orientation.
• Preferred: minimum of one year of general medical-surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and plan patient care using nursing process.
• Perform nursing tasks per policy and procedure.
• Coordinate information exchange among staff, physicians and administration.
• Manage unit flow and acuity; report significant patient information promptly.
• Promote quality improvements using lean approaches.
