Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services in West Point is seeking a Certified LPN to support the medical plan of care and provide direct patient care. You will document care, teach patients and families, and perform IV therapy in accordance with hospital guidelines.

The role requires an LPN license, CPR certification, and completion of MIS computer training. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure quality care and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or Project Search graduate.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the state.
• CPR certification required (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation).
• Must complete 24-32 hours MIS computer training.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient records through daily nursing summaries, Medicare charting, acute care charting and accurate medication administration records.
• Provide patient/family teaching for continuing care during and after discharge.
• Perform IV therapy per hospital guidelines.
