Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Certified LPN to provide a broad range of nursing functions in support of the medical plan of care. The role emphasizes patient care, documentation, teaching, and IV therapy, with adherence to hospital policies and age-appropriate care.

The LPN will maintain accurate records, contribute to the nursing care plan, educate patients and families, and respond effectively to changing patient needs in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides a wide variety of nursing functions to support the medical plan of care in compliance with hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains patient records through daily nursing summaries, Medicare charting, acute care charting and accurate medication administration records.
• Contributes to nursing care plan.
• Provides patient/family teaching necessary for continuing care during and after discharge.
• Performs IV therapy utilizing hospital guidelines.
