Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support physicians and nurses with patient care, EMR chart management, and patient flow. You will assist during examinations, prepare exam rooms, manage supplies, and contribute to accurate medical records.

Requirements include a NYS LPN license, BLS, and Infection Control certification, with about 2+ years of clinical experience; new grads may be considered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Approximately 2+ years of related clinical experience; new grads may be considered.
• NYS Licensed Practical Nurse license and current registration.
• BLS certification.
• Infection Control Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient flow and exams, monitors wait times and informs physician when patient is ready.
• Maintains clean exam rooms, sterile instruments, stocked supplies and proper waste disposal.
• Records medical information in EMR as appropriate.
• Maintains inventory of supplies, equipment and reagents; may order as authorized.
• Answers phones and triages calls; handles administrative tasks and referrals.
• Provides in-office patient care services, including vitals, venipuncture, vaccines/medications education.
