Job summary

Good Samaritan in Luverne, MN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under supervision.

You will administer medications, document care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Counseling residents and families on prevention and treatment plans is expected. Requires MN LPN license and ongoing CEUs; IV therapy rules may apply in North Dakota.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Current unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board.
• If position requires IV therapy/management skills, North Dakota requirements apply.
• Minimum 400 hours of experience as an LPN at another facility.
• Completes required CEU and competency training.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents under supervision.
• Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care.
• Maintain confidentiality and communicate clearly with residents and staff.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Counsel residents, families, and advocates on prevention and treatment plans.
