Job summary

Novant Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Med/Surg 3 – 9th Floor at NH NHRMC in Wilmington, NC. Day shift, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, full-time. You will provide direct patient care under RN supervision, assist with treatments, document care, and support education and safety.

The unit handles a variety of medical and surgical patients with teams collaborating with local primary and specialty providers to improve communication, discharge planning, and readmission reduction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
• Active state LPN license and CPI certification within 3 months for Behavioral Health units.
• NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions within 3 months of hire for ED/Behavioral Health.
• One year of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of the RN.
• Assist with treatments, procedures, and care coordination.
• Accurately document patient care and communicate changes in condition.
• Support patient education and promote safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and interdisciplinary team members.
