Job summary

Luna Rehabilitation & Care Center in Deming, New Mexico is seeking compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team. You will provide direct care, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, individualized care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• Current, active LPN license in good standing in New Mexico.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred or required according to facility policy.
• New graduate LPNs are welcome and encouraged to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare is preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical observation and resident assessment skills within the LPN scope of practice.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per individualized care plans and physician orders.
• Administer medications and treatments within the LPN scope of practice.
• Monitor resident conditions and report significant changes promptly.
• Obtain and monitor vital signs and other clinical information.
• Notify RN/physician or leadership of significant changes.
• Supervise and support CNAs and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure timely and complete nursing documentation in the EMR.
• Respond to urgent needs and emergency situations; follow infection control practices.
• Protect resident rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
