Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Good Samaritan Society provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, including medication administration and documentation. Works within an interdisciplinary team to support health, safety and comfort of residents.

This PRN position in De Smet, SD offers variable shifts with rate of pay between $26.50 and $36.00 per hour, reflecting a compassionate, Christian environment and opportunities for ongoing professional

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited practical nursing program and licensed as LPN.
IV therapy/management skills may be required where applicable.
Experience across the lifespan in clinical settings preferred.
Must maintain required CEUs and competencies for the department and facility.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
Administer medications or treatments as ordered.
Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, meds, behavior, activity and diet.
Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality with residents, families and staff.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to meet resident needs.
Ensure health, safety and comfort of residents and respond to emergent situations.
