Job summary

Tucson Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for inpatient hospice care on the day shift. The role provides nursing care under the direct supervision of an RN, assisting with activities of daily living, teaching and supporting patients and families, and maintaining accurate patient records.

The successful candidate will have an accredited LPN diploma, Arizona LPN license, and BLS certification, with a focus on comfort, safety, and compassionate care within a hospital hospice

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurse or technical or vocational school.
• Arizona LPN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and encourages independence.
• Maintains patient records and confidentiality; documents instruction and care.
• Notifies physician of changes in patient condition and participates in care planning.
• Adheres to hospital safety policies and infection control practices.
