Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a current, valid state LPN license.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Visit residents on assigned unit daily to observe and evaluate each resident’s status and notify the charge nurse or physician of changes.
• Identify resident problems and emergencies and initiate lifesaving measures in the absence of a physician.
• Provide holistic care for residents within the LPN scope of practice.
• Assist in monitoring inventory of medications, supplies, and equipment to ensure availability.
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, and charting as necessary.
• Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials and hazardous chemicals per policy.
