Job summary

Cardinal Senior Living LLC in Quakertown, PA is hiring a Full Time LPN on 2nd shift with a salary range of $30.00-$35.00 hourly. The role involves supervising wellness staff when the director is absent, and delivering high-quality care while following policy and regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have current nursing license in good standing.
• Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulation.
• Ability to maintain and update effective service plans.
• Ability to supervise care staff.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
• Ability to communicate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and community staff.

Responsibilities

• Present a professional demeanor that communicates a corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest, dignity, and respect in each resident’s needs.
• Assists in the oversight of all Wellness staff in the absence of the Wellness Director and Care Coordinator.
• Ensure outstanding, appropriate care is delivered while adhering to community policy, regulation, and law.
• Chart resident notes appropriately.
• Review end of shift notes.
• Record new/changed physician orders.
• Maintain healthcare provider relations.
• Perform resident assessments according to established protocol.
• Conduct appraisals of resident needs.
• Respond to medical emergencies.
• Monitor and record physical, mental, and emotional changes observed in residents.
• Maintain current and accurate resident charts.
• Assist in scheduling medical appointments and maintain a current medical appointment calendar.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with physicians.
• Participate in community surveys.
• Meet with families/residents during the admissions process.
• Ensure rooms are ready for new residents.
• Report any suspicion or evidence of elder abuse, mistreatment or neglect as outlined in Personnel Policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
