Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Good Samaritan provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Maintains nursing standards, assesses residents, and delivers medications and treatments as ordered.

Works as part of an interdisciplinary team, documents interactions, and communicates clearly while protecting resident confidentiality. Requires licensure, nursing education, and ongoing CEU/competency training.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; Associate degree preferred.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the state board.
• Minimum supervised clinical experience across the lifespan; 400 hours required in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document resident interactions, care, and outcomes; maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team to meet residents' needs.
