Job summary
Sligo Creek Healthcare in Takoma Park, MD is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our nursing home staff on the night shift from 11 PM to 7 AM. The ideal candidate will hold a state LPN license, have strong observational and communication skills, and bring a compassionate, team‑oriented approach to daily care.

Qualifications
- Completion of state-approved LPN program and current state LPN license or compact license.
- BLS and CPR certifications
- 1-2 years recent nursing home experience preferred, but not required.
- Proficient computer skills, especially with data entry
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift patients and medical equipment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observational skills
Responsibilities
- Observe and manage resident health; provide routine care and report changes.
- Collect and review patient medical history, charts, and vital signs.
- Assist RNs and physicians in their duties.
- Assist residents with hygiene, feeding, transportation, and movement.
- Administer medications and injections, provide wound care, collect specimens.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all policies; adhere to requirements and standards.
- Maintain licensure and pursue professional development
