Job summary
Sligo Creek Healthcare is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our nursing home team, offering compassionate daily care to residents and strong teamwork with RNs and physicians. This part-time night shift (11p–7a) emphasizes observation, communication, and timely reporting of changes in residents’ health.
Qualified candidates will hold a state-approved LPN program completion and active license, BLS/CPR, and prefer 1–2 years in a nursing home.
Qualifications
- State-approved LPN program completed and active LPN license.
- BLS and CPR certifications.
- 1–2 years nursing home experience preferred.
- Proficient with data entry.
Responsibilities
- Observe and manage resident health per needs; report changes.
- Record medical history, vitals, and condition.
- Assist RNs and physicians.
- Help residents with hygiene, feeding, transport, mobility.
- Administer medications and injections; wound care; collect specimens.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow procedures.
- Pursue licensure and professional development.
