Job summary

John Knox Village East in Higginsville, MO is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN role in a long‑term care setting. You will provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician, ensuring residents’ health, comfort, and well‑being.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, updating care plans, supervising CNAs, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Missouri in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics preferred.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per resident care plans and orders.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents' conditions, including vital signs, and report changes.
• Assist in developing, updating, and implementing individualized care plans.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation with regulations.
• Respond to resident needs, concerns, and emergencies promptly.
• Ensure infection control, safety standards, and HIPAA compliance.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
