Job summary

Samaritan Daytop Village is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support providers under RN/Physician supervision. Qualifications

• Graduate of a formal LPN program.
• NYS LPN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• At least 1 year experience with SUD/SMI.
• Flexible schedule as needed.
• Computer literacy including MS Office and EMR.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized.
• Experience with diverse populations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Team player and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care including vital signs, injections, and tests.
• Take patient history and document in the system.
• Follow physician/RN orders in providing care.
• Document all care thoroughly.
• Maintain and chart patient medical records accurately.
• Check, clean, and dress wounds.
• Reinforce physician instructions to patients.
• Notify RN/Physician of significant changes.
