Job summary

NKC Health in the Tiffany Springs outpatient clinic (10161 N Ambassador Dr) is seeking a Lab Assistant to join our lab team and help care for patients with compassion. This role supports reception, processing and phlebotomy duties under supervision.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred. You will collect patient information, perform venipuncture, label and transport specimens, and follow HIPAA and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients by collecting and verifying demographic, insurance, and billing information.
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages
• Properly label, handle, and transport specimens to the laboratory to ensure integrity and accuracy
• Communicate effectively with clinical departments to resolve registration or order issues.
• Provide courteous, professional service to the patients and families
• Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and hospital/clinic safety regulations at all times
