Job summary

Goodlettsville Animal Hospital in Goodlettsville, TN, seeks a friendly Kennel Assistant to care for boarding and grooming patients. You will help keep the boarding area clean and safe, walk and feed patients, and assist doctors and technicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Weekend work ability.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Lift patients up to 25 pounds; assistance required for heavier lifts.
• Practices OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide great care for grooming and boarding patients.
• Record patient details, including feeding and behavior, accurately.
• Observe general condition and signs of illness.
• Handle and restrain difficult patients as needed.
• Walk patients multiple times daily for exercise.
• Provide appropriate food and liquids as required.
• Ensure cages are clean, labeled, and personal property stored properly.
• Regularly clean kennels and wash bowls to control odors.
• Launder towels and blankets as needed.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.
