Qualifications

• Must achieve validation of required core competencies and training through the Mental Health Technician Residency Program.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire; certifications through AHA or ARC; CPI de-escalation training within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Collects data including intake/output, vitals, and weight; reports out-of-range values to the nurse.
• Perform basic hygiene tasks and participate in patient rounds to provide comfort and care.
• Document patient information accurately and in the appropriate location; communicate with the healthcare team.
• Transfer, transport, and position patients safely according to policies; ensure patient dignity and safety.
• Welcome patients and families; respond to requests promptly and professionally.
