Job summary

MaineTouch is hiring Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to deliver in-home non-medical care for adults and seniors in client homes. Training is provided with supportive supervision, making it ideal for those new to the field.

As a PSS, you will assist with daily living tasks, mobility, and meal prep while offering companionship. You’ll follow each client’s care plan, document activities, and maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality. Flexible schedules and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Provide non-medical in-home support per client care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Maintain client confidentiality and documentation per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Support mobility and transfers safely.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal-related tasks.
• Provide companionship and daily routine support.
• Observe changes and report to supervisor.
• Follow service plans and complete required documentation.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and MaineTouch policies.
• Respond to emergencies and follow incident protocols.
• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
