Job summary

New-Age-Hospice is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Hospice Aide to provide in-home personal healthcare services in the League City, Dickinson, Texas City, La Porte, and South Houston area. This role works under RN supervision and covers North Houston and surrounding areas, promoting a safe, clean environment and compassionate patient care.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CNA/HHA training or registry listing, and at least one year of related hospice or nursing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred; CNA/HHA training or state program approved.
• At least one year experience preferred as Hospice Aide or Nursing Assistant.
• Must read, write and verbally report clinical information to patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the philosophy, mission and policies of the Hospice.
• Provides direct patient care under RN direction and Plan of Care.
• Assists with safe transfers and ambulation per policy.
• Reports changes and documents care rendered for continuity.
• Practices infection control; maintains clean, safe environment.
• Maintains respectful communication with patient, family and staff.
• Supports patient privacy and property protection.
• Assists with nutrition and fluid intake.
• Contributes to efficient Hospice operation and time management.
• Participates in the QAPI program and performs duties as assigned.
