Job summary

Altra Homecare of Kokomo is seeking an Anderson Caregiver to provide in-home personal care and companionship for clients. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and report changes to the supervisor.

Applicants should be 18+, hold a valid driver's license and auto insurance, have CPR certification, and be able to read and document care provided. Prior homecare experience is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required.
• Monitor and record patient temperature.
• Assist patients with ambulation.
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols.
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
• Offer bathing assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.
