Job summary

Visiting Angels Naperville is seeking an In Home Caregiver to provide compassionate care for seniors in the Naperville area. The role includes light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility support, and personal care in clients’ homes within local communities such as Aurora, Lombard, Wheaton and more.

We offer in‑home caregiver opportunities with training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care to help you grow professionally while making a meaningful difference for families.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

• Physical endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Must be willing to assist clients with personal care and hygiene, including but not limited bathing assistance, brushing hair and teeth, or applying skincare
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
