Job summary

Visiting Angels Athens is hiring an In Home Patient Care Assistant to support seniors in Athens and surrounding areas. The role emphasizes compassionate companionship, light housekeeping, meal prep, and mobility assistance to help clients maintain independence.

You will receive training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care and become part of a supportive team that values community involvement and a long-term commitment to quality home care.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide companionship.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from clients.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
