Job summary

CARIN Alliance is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home caregiving services. You will follow care plans, assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, and diet, and ensure a clean, safe home environment.

Responsibilities include using assistive devices safely, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting daily tasks like laundry and groceries. You will report changes in client condition and follow safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• Minimum 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to follow instructions, utilize safety protocols, and provide compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Following clients' care plans and completing daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assisting with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and feeding, including special diet needs.
• Using equipment like walkers and wheelchairs safely and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Encouraging clients' independence and respecting their privacy and confidentiality.
• Notifying supervisors of any changes in client condition or safety concerns.
• Supporting clients with secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping.
• Providing quality care within scope, avoiding tasks outside of the care plan, and seeking guidance when needed.
• Assisting only with self-administration of medications and never administering directly.
• Reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or unsafe conditions immediately.
