Job summary

Personal Care Services MidSouth in Alabama seeks a compassionate Home Care Aide to assist clients in their homes with daily living activities, nutrition, housekeeping and mobility. You will work under supervision to deliver respectful, client‑centered care in accordance with agency policies.

Responsibilities include monitoring health signs, providing companionship, arranging transportation, and helping with meals, laundry and light housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of personal care and home management skills.
• Knowledge of English language.
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat injuries including emergency first aid and CPR.
• Knowledge of clerical procedures such as maintaining records and completing forms.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and feeding.
• Ensure client safety and supervise the home environment.
• Provide companionship and social interaction.
• Transport clients to medical appointments and errands.
• Prepare meals and assist with meal planning.
• Maintain records of daily activities and observations.
• Attend orientation and staff meetings.
