Job summary

Heritage Senior Living is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, families, visitors, and staff in New Berlin, WI. You’ll join a team that values compassionate care and consistent cleanliness, helping make the community feel like home.

You’ll perform housekeeping duties, assist with resident laundry, and follow infection-control procedures while interacting with residents in a respectful, supportive manner.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, hotel, healthcare, senior living, or related experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work discreetly and respectfully in resident and guest areas.
• Caring and compassionate attitude with genuine concern for older adults.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Ability to follow cleaning, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with employees throughout the community.
• Ability to learn and use required electronic documentation systems.
• Ability to meet applicable pre-employment, training, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keep resident living areas, bathrooms, dining areas, offices, and common spaces clean and welcoming.
• Sweep, mop, wash, and vacuum floors; dust furniture, fixtures, windows, and surfaces.
• Empty trash and manage waste safely throughout the community.
• Clean resident equipment including wheelchairs as assigned.
• Complete routine and scheduled deep cleaning; deep clean carpets and furniture as needed.
• Maintain an organized housekeeping cart and stocked supplies.
• Contribute to a clean, comfortable, and homelike environment for residents and visitors.
• Collect and launder resident laundry; process housekeeping-related laundry and rags as needed.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures; report hazards to supervisor.
