Job summary

Milestone is seeking a dependable Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces in our assisted living and memory care community. You will perform housekeeping tasks, manage laundry, and help keep common areas inviting for residents and visitors.

The role emphasizes compassion for residents, adherence to safety standards, and strong communication with team members. Prior experience is preferred, with completion of required health checks and background screens.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly residents.
• Ability to protect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Strong communication with residents, coworkers, supervisors, and vendors.
• Must meet health requirements including TB clearance.
• Must be 18+ and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident apartments, bathrooms, floors, dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and linen changes.
• Perform laundry and linen inventory tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas: entryways, corridors, dining rooms, activity spaces.
• Perform floor care: sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, carpet care.
• Sanitize public restrooms and surfaces per procedures.
• Handle cleaning supplies safely and according to labeling requirements.
• Participate in training and ongoing education.
• Respond to resident emergencies and support safety efforts.
• Follow all local, state, and licensing rules including HIPAA and OSHA.
