Job summary

Phoenix Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join The Phoenix at Opelika team. This role focuses on thorough cleaning of resident rooms and common areas, following a detailed cleaning checklist, and maintaining a welcoming, sanitary environment for residents and guests.

Typical schedule is Mon-Fri with every other weekend required. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of related experience; infection control awareness and strong communication

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
One year of job-related experience.
Understanding infection control procedures.

Responsibilities

Follow detailed cleaning worksheet/checklist for each room and common area.
Prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage.
Clean floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
Steam clean or shampoo carpet.
Dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Replace light bulbs throughout the community.
Ensure two-resident suites are cleaned twice a week.
Notify supervisor of major repairs via maintenance log.
