Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must understand and communicate English effectively (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in computer use required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Licenses/certifications: Texas DPS Private Security Bureau commissioned license or obtain within 90 days; CPR certification within 90 days; valid driver’s license if transferring from out of state.

Responsibilities

• Monitors assigned areas for maximum security visibility.
• Posts in areas or patrols by vehicle or on foot.
• Controls access and reports hazards or breaches of security.
• Manages visitor and materials pass programs.
• Adheres to hospital policies and procedures at all times.
• Responds to security and emergency situations and assists staff and visitors.
• Completes security reports and operates security equipment.
• Maintains safety and quality of service within budget and time constraints.
