Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Cook to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in a healthcare setting. You will prepare meals for residents, families, and staff following federal, state, and local standards.

The Cook role involves following recipes, portioning, quality checks, and assisting with deliveries and meal service. A $250 sign-on bonus and pay up to $24/hour depending on experience are offered as part of competitive benefits for full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, menu extensions, and presentation standards.
• Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Tastes completed meals to ensure quality standards.
• Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods during preparation and service to meet goals.
• Check and inspect food products and supplies as delivered in the absence of leadership.
• Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products.
• Notify Chef Manager or Director of supplies or equipment needs.
• Report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions to the Chef Manager or Director.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and audits.
• Perform other department duties assigned by the Chef Manager/Director.
