Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia is seeking a compassionate veterinarian to perform in-home hospice and euthanasia services across the Chicago area. You’ll practice medicine on the road with a schedule designed around your life, providing care with dignity and empathy in a family’s home environment.

We offer onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing support, plus a generous benefits package and no non-compete clause. Weekend scheduling is flexible to fit your personal plans.

Qualifications

DVM, VMD or BVMS required.
Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
Weekends on your terms; you choose 4 weekend days per month.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
Candidates will undergo license verification, background check, and driving record review before start.

Responsibilities

Provide in-home hospice and in-home euthanasia care to pets and families.
Practice veterinary medicine on the road with independent scheduling and strong team support.
Participate in onboarding, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
