Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice seeks a compassionate DVM to provide in-home hospice and end-of-life care across Maryland communities. This role lets you practice medicine on the road with strong team backing, prioritizing patient comfort and family support in familiar home environments.

You’ll have a flexible schedule (2–5 days/week) with guaranteed base pay and quarterly bonus opportunities, plus benefits and mentorship. Weekend availability is negotiable as part of your schedule.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) with licensure verified.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance.
• Weekends on your terms; flexible scheduling supports work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate in-home hospice and end-of-life care to pets.
• Practice medicine independently on the road with mentoring and team support.
• Engage and guide families through difficult decisions with sensitivity.
