Job summary

Heartstrings Pet Hospice invites veterinarians to practice compassionate end-of-life care in clients' homes across Maryland and surrounding areas. You’ll perform in-home hospice and euthanasia with a focus on dignity and peace, while the team provides onboarding, mentorship, and personal well-being support from day one.

Choose a schedule that fits your life—2, 3, 4, or 5 days—with self-managed options and generous compensation including base salary and quarterly bonuses.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. Driver's License
• Weekends on Your Terms — choose 4 weekend days per month
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 90 lbs with assistance
• License verification, background check, and driving record review before start

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care with compassion.
• Practice independently on the road with support from the team.
• Participate in onboarding, mentorship and ongoing training.
• Offer end-of-life discussions with families.
• Ensure safety and compliance prior to start.
