Job summary

Caris Healthcare in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN PRN) to provide nursing care per physician orders. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care for each patient and collaborating with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
• Nursing experience required, with Hospice or Home Health preferred.
• Sound knowledge of nursing principles and patient/family teaching.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document patient's symptoms using required software.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans.
• Serve as patient advocate, providing information on patient rights and responsibilities.
• Educate patients and families on safety and care needs.
• Supervise and direct aides and licensed practical nurses per guidelines.
• Participate in on-call schedule and provide back-up assistance as needed.
