Job summary

Interim HealthCare Hospice is hiring a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to cover Eau Claire, WI and surrounding areas. The role focuses on home-based patient care, with a team-based approach to align with each patient’s plan of care.

The position offers a generous base salary range of $75,000–$85,000, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and periodic bonuses. Benefits include mileage reimbursement, PTO, health/dental/vision, 401(k), online CEUs, and tuition discounts.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Wisconsin.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, ideally in hospice or home healthcare.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
• Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty, strong communication skills and compassion.

Responsibilities

• Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focused on quality of life.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to carry out the patient’s plan of care.
• Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, administer prescribed medication and treatments.
• Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies.
• Educate family on the patient’s prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals.
