Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Columbia, SC is seeking a compassionate Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered end-of-life care, guided by a mission to honor God through the enrichment of human life. This PRN role emphasizes empathy, clinical excellence, and support for patients and families, with competitive hourly pay and robust benefits.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer treatments, educate families, and coordinate with the IDG to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program.
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact License.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments during scheduled, as-needed, or on-call visits to evaluate the patient’s condition.
• Assess changes in patient condition and communicate findings to the care team.
• Provide nursing care per the plan of care and implement updates.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Support pain and symptom management and evaluate response to treatment.
• Educate patients and families about medications and care.
• Coordinate with the care team for continuity of care.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately and timely.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care.
