Job summary

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver end-of-life care in patients’ homes across Wisconsin. You will support patients and families, uphold hospice principles, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comfort and dignity at the end of life.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license in the state, with at least two years in hospice/home health within the last five years, and reliable transportation for home visits.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice nursing in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• A minimum of two years of nursing experience in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-of-life care with compassion and dignity.
• Make care decisions at the bedside to keep patients comfortable.
• Visit patients as part of a home-based hospice team, typically 4-6 visits per day.
