Job summary

Hospice of the Midwest is seeking a compassionate Massage Therapist to provide massage services to hospice patients in home and facility settings. You will review patient charts, work within the hospice rights, and document visits per policy while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires formal massage training, state licensure, and 2+ years of clinical massage experience with an understanding of hospice philosophy.

Qualifications

• Formal massage training from an accredited program.
• Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork certification preferred.
• Licensed in the state of operation.
• 2+ years clinical massage therapy experience.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Provide massage treatments to hospice patients per RN referral.
• Review patient chart and medical history prior to treatment.
• Follow hospice patient rights in care delivery.
• Document all patient visits per policies.
• Participate in the hospice interdisciplinary team.
• Engage in the QAPI hospice performance improvement program.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Additional duties as assigned.
