Job summary

Grace Hospice in Minneapolis, MN, is seeking a compassionate Hospice Massage Therapist to join our interdisciplinary care team. You will provide therapeutic massage to patients receiving hospice care, promoting comfort, relaxation and wellbeing while coordinating visits with the nursing, social work, chaplain, and hospice aide teams.

The role emphasizes compassionate touch and collaboration; requires massage therapy education, at least one year clinical experience (two+ preferred), and strong

Qualifications

• Massage therapy education and credentials meeting professional requirements.
• At least 1 year of clinical massage therapy experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Hospice/healthcare experience is a plus.
• Geriatric massage training or experience preferred.
• Compassionate and adaptable approach to working with patients and families.
• Strong communication, organization and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently within a collaborative care team.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic massage based on each patient’s needs and plan of care.
• Complete initial assessments and develop a massage therapy plan with the team.
• Adapt massage techniques based on changing patient needs and comfort.
• Coordinate patient visit schedule while considering care needs and priorities.
• Communicate observations with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to coordinated care.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Provide services with compassion, professionalism and respect for patient dignity.
